I bought this light for a 2 gal. planted betta tank (yes, filtered and heated so don’t get all crazy telling me a betta needs an olympic size swimming pool to be happy). I had upgraded her to a larger tank but she didn’t like it all. I guess she likes “tiny house” living. But I digress.
Back to the lamp. I wanted a long top to illuminate the length of the tank. Check. I wanted an arm with an angle that could be adjusted over the tank. Check. I wanted a base that could swivel to different positions. Check. I wanted different levels of lighting from dim to bright. Check. Bonuses, but not prerequisites, are the different lighting hues, the sleep timer, and the cell phone charger port. The base offers an area where you can put your cell phone while it’s charging.
If you are looking for a desk lamp for school work, task lighting, computer work, crafts and hobbies, this is the light for you. The brightest level is super bright. I keep it on the lowest setting all day so I don’t blind my fish. I think the picture attached is taken on level 2.
